...The OPG is a group of invidivuals who originally came together in 1993 to share their technology-based lifestyle.  At that time, many of the developments most people now take for granted were in their earlier stages of adoption and required at least a little expertise to make work.  For example, we had text messaging then... but it required a laptop, a device called a packet modem, and a two-way radio!

 It's much easier now to communicate over various networks but we continue to foster and encourage the spirit of experimentation, especially where lifestyle and technology converge.  We also provide a forum of discussion for, as 4786 calls them, Xenotechs.  People who use available technologies in undiscovered ways.
